Being Authentic, Even if it's Scary!!

Being Authentic, Even if it's Scary!!
Something happened to me in the past couple of weeks that taught me a valuable lesson.

I was in a masterclass online.  It was about women, and finding your true authentic self & feeling into the energetics of womanhood.  It was amazing, and I found myself wanting to connect with others from the group.

So I did.

My first connections got me a lot of “hey, girl, hey” and “buy my stuff, buy my stuff, buy my stuff” energies.

I was not into that.
It felt ICKY!

I set some boundaries and blocked some women.  I knew I needed to do this in order to let in authentic relationships.

Only, the authentic relationships were not coming. I was not feeling it.

So I did something out of my comfort zone.  Something that I had a nudge to do, but was putting it off in order to let the feeling pass, and stay where it was safe (not good, not great, but familiar & “safe”).

I wrote a post about connection online.  It was scary & vulnerable, and I posted it anyway.  I didn’t think about it, I just hit post.

And you know what, other women were feeling the same thing.  They wanted real connections, authentic connections from women who would lift them up, and not be around only for a sale.  But instead women who were here to change the world with greatness and supportiveness.

I found the connections that I desired by sharing my true self and being vulnerable to listen to that little voice inside.  The voice of intuition tends to guide me in the right direction.

So glad I listened.

And if you are new to my world, welcome!!  I am so glad we connected, and can cheer each other on in life!

DIY Non-Toxic Laundry Detergent

DIY Non-Toxic Laundry Detergent
My family is the most important thing in my life.  I love them, and I want only the best for them.  And that means, whenever I can, I want to give them a non-toxic option.

Now, my kids are teenagers, and using non-toxic products can be so “uncool” and they don’t always like to do so, unless mom is there watching.  The same thing with my husband.  Being busy and having things be convenient is probably their number one priority.

I say, we can have both!!

I know that for my family, in order for everyone to use the non-toxic products they need to be convenient.

And sometimes convenient means that I replace a product with something that they use on a regular basis.  Well, that’s just what I did with my laundry detergent.  I made my own.  One that smells great and works great, too.

I used only a couple of products, and it took almost no time to do it.  Which is the best part!!

You will need a glass dispenser.  Glass is best, because this recipe does have ingredients that have essential oils in it.  And glass does not leak harmful contaminants into the liquids inside.

Here is the recipe for 1 gallon jar.

1 gallon of distilled or reverse osmosis water
¼ cup of Young Living Laundry Detergent
â…› cup or 2 Tbsp of Thieves Household Cleaner
½ cup washing soda
5-7 drops of Young Living essential oils of choice (I like to use oils like Thieves, Purification & Lavender)

  1. Heat approximately 4 cups of the one gallon of water.
  2. Put ½ coup of the washing soda in your jar.  Use the warmed water and dissolve it completely before adding other ingredients.
  3. Add ¼ cup of Young Living Laundry Detergent
  4. Add â…› cup (2 Tbsp) of Young Living Thieves Cleaner
  5. Add 5-7 drops of Young Living Essential Oils to give your laundry detergent a boost.
    1. I like to use different combinations such as 3 drops of Thieves and 2 drops of Purification or 3 drops of Thieves and 3 drops of Lavender.  You can use the oils that you gravitate towards.
  6. Stir all ingredients together using the warm water, and add the remaining water from your gallon to fill your dispenser.
  7. I like to keep a wooden spoon nearby to stir it before use.  Sometimes the ingredients will settle a bit on the bottom, but they stir up nicely.

If you need any Young Living products, reach out to me and I can get you all set.  If not, no biggie.

Stepping Into My Belonging!

Stepping Into My Belonging!
Today, I step into my Belonging.  The belonging that I have given away and forgotten was my birthright.  I am taking it back, and reinstating it fully into every part of my life.

It means that some people may not recognize me, as I have allowed others to consume my light, and I have shied away from sitting at the tables that I desired to be part of.  It means new boundaries will be coming up and staying up.

Well, actually it means that my old boundaries will be known by others now.

I already had the boundaries, and frustration set in when others crossed them, but being a “good girl” and a “nice girl” has made me let you think that everything was ok, when in fact it is not.

It is not ok to be treated “less than” and to be cornered and unable to speak up when it didn’t feel right.  Instead, frustration was simmering inside and eventually the steam needed to release.

Who saw it released?  Not you, not the ones who were encroaching their will over mine.  Nope, not you.  My good girl didn’t let you see that part of me.

It was the ones I love most, the ones who barely crossed the boundary.  They only had their little toe over it, but they got to hear that the boundary was crossed, and they were put in their place, knowing that I wouldn’t allow that in my energy.

I realized that I always belonged.  I have been perfect since I was born.  A beautiful light to shine for the world.  I was a little “Dolly,” as my great grandmother called me.  And my belonging to sit at any table has been with me since the day I came into this world.

Nothing has changed, except for my belief that that perfection has dimmed.

My belief now is that I Belong.
I get to bring my Belonging with me everywhere.
Only I get to say if something feels aligned with my energy or not.

My energy deserves to be in any room.  I might be the bravest one in the room, and show others how to stand, and be present amongst brightly shining stars.

Have you let someone else be in charge of your belonging, too?  It’s time to step into your Awakening and know you belong.  You’ve got this, and are in good company.

Women walking together are going to change the world.  Bring your belonging and let’s create magic.

Going All In as a Young Living Brand Partner

Going All In as a Young Living Brand Partner
I have used Young Living products for over 10 years.  And up until now, I have pretty much just been a customer.  Loving their products, but not delving into the business side of things much.

I have never really had a team, and so I stayed small within the company.

Well, things are about to change.

I was looking for a network marketing company that I felt aligned with. One that did good in the world, and I loved their products enough to share them with the world.

I also wanted to align myself with a company that was energetically in sync with my soul contract.

So I put out a call to the Universe.  I asked to be shown a clear sign on what was right for me.  What the next step was.

Here’s what I did…I told the Universe that I needed a sign sometime during the week of 1/30/23 and 2/3/23.

I was specific in how I wanted to receive the sign. I told the Universe my sign could come in the form of a car sticker (I have received signs like that before, so I sometimes look for them), hearing or being part of a conversation about a company/product or receiving something in the mail.

I told the Universe that my sign had to be so obvious that I couldn’t not see it. It would basically be right in front of my face.

Well, I waited all week, and I hadn’t gotten a sign.  No car stickers, conversations or mail.  I was getting kind of frustrated.  I again told the Universe that I was waiting.

I threw my hands up, and let it go.  I didn’t know what was going to happen. It was Friday afternoon, and still no sign.

Then I saw it.  It was sitting on the counter…a postcard about Young Living.

Prayers answered!!  The Universe sent me a sign…well a postcard.

I already know and love Young Living, and this was the sign I needed in order to be all in as a Brand Partner.

I am recommitting to myself and having faith that this is the right move for me.

I recommit to me!!

It's OK to Reevaluate Your Goals

It's OK to Reevaluate Your Goals
Goals are simple.  We set out to attain a change in our lives, and we get so excited to do it.  To get the change.

But implementing the goals is harder than it seems.  It is a daily commitment to yourself and to making you a priority.

Simple does not mean easy, but with commitment  we can make our dreams a reality.

To start out 2023, I found out that in Human Design the new year is not celebrated until a bit later in January.  This year, Rave New Year was celebrated on January 22.  Rave New Year is considered the New Year in Human Design.  Before that time, we (the collective) went through periods of closing out 2022 and there was resistance in the energy for starting new things.

Well, resistance or not, I kept with my goals.  The first two weeks were great, I completed nearly every task on my checklist everyday.  That was more than I initially intended to do.  I gave myself room for rest, but I was feeling the momentum so I went for it.

I had four types of goals:
  • Mindset - Do affirmations and meditations
  • Physical - Walk an average of 50 miles a month
  • Spiritual - Journal and spend time in silence to allow my channel to open
  • Lifestyle - Blog and create movement in my business (behind the scenes)

Then, overwhelm & fatigue set in.  I realized that in order to keep moving I needed to make some changes.

So I did!!

I didn’t need to change all of my goals, but I reflected on the most challenging, and that was my physical goal.  I was dreading every walk because of the time it took.  And walking on a treadmill in the winter was challenging.

So I just changed my goal.  Did you know you can do that?

I give you permission to change your goal if you find you are not aligned with them.

My new goal for my physical health is to eat at least 1 homemade meal a week.  Since I have been so busy, I really made it attainable, and I have been keeping my lunches really clean.

I can do that.  And it has made the rest of my goals run just a little bit smoother.

So here is your permission to reevaluate your current goals, and if one of them aren’t aligned, then change it.

Recommit to you!!
