Day 14: An Anchor for Your Rituals
Welcome back to the Sacred Routine Challenge! We've officially completed Week 2, a week dedicated to integrating small, supportive actions into our days. We've designed a sacred morning start, created a hydration ritual, taken a grounding midday pause, and crafted an evening wind-down. Today, we’re going to tie all of these practices together with one simple, yet powerful tool: a symbolic ritual item.

A ritual item is an object that you use to anchor your sacred routine. It's not just a physical thing; it's a visual and tangible cue that signals to your mind, "It’s time to be present." This object can hold the intention and energy of your practices, making it easier to slip into a mindful state. When you use this item, it can help you transition from the chaos of your day to the calm of your ritual.

Your task for today is to choose a symbolic item that resonates with you. It should be something that feels special and serves a purpose in your routine. Here are a few ideas:
  • A specific journal: This can be your sacred space for morning pages or evening reflections. Holding it in your hands can immediately signal it’s time for introspection.
  • A candle or essential oil: The act of lighting a candle or diffusing a calming scent can be a powerful sensory anchor for your morning or evening rituals. The scent and sight can instantly ground you.
  • A crystal or stone: If you’re drawn to crystals, choosing one that represents the energy you want to cultivate (like a clear quartz for clarity or amethyst for peace) can be a beautiful way to set your intention. Simply holding it can remind you of your purpose.
  • A special playlist: Curate a short playlist of calming music that you only listen to during your ritual time. When the music starts, your mind will know it’s time to wind down or focus.
The power of this ritual item lies in its consistency. By using the same object each day, you create a powerful association between the item and your intention. It becomes a physical representation of your commitment to intentional living.

Take some time today to reflect on your rituals and choose an item that feels right for you. Place it in a visible spot where it will remind you to pause and connect with your sacred routine. This small act of choosing a symbolic anchor can make your daily practices feel more meaningful and less like a checklist. It transforms an action into a sacred ritual, making it easier to stay committed to your well-being.

Meet Sarah Sik

For so long, I was filled with anxiety.  My emotions were all over the place.

I am a military wife and mom of two boys.

Always needing to be braced for change filled me with so much stress and overwhelm.  My thoughts and feelings were running wild.  I felt like I was always fighting an uphill battle, and never gaining any traction.

Then, something magical happened and things started to change.

It was like walking into the most beautiful forest and seeing the sun shining down brightly on my face as I peeked up at the sky.

Suddenly, I started to take control and things just became clearer.

Have you ever tried to make a change in your life, only to get a week into it and say, “I’m tired, it can wait until tomorrow.”  Only tomorrow never happens!!  Then you end up feeling guilty and down in the dumps.

It’s time for you to step up and make some changes so you can live your most exquisite life.

Come join our chic community and learn about finding balance in the chaos.  This is the supportive group you’ve been looking for.  Best of all...It’s Free!
