Day 28: A Ritual for Gratitude and Growth
Welcome to Day 28, the final day of Week 4 and the last daily blog of the Sacred Routine Challenge! We began this journey with intention and awareness, moved into adding small, supportive rituals, and dedicated last week to deep reflection. This final week has been all about integration and embodiment—anchoring your new habits so they feel truly sustainable. Today, we close this chapter with a special ritual designed to honor your growth and prepare you for the month ahead.

It's easy to rush from one goal to the next without pausing to acknowledge the journey. But celebrating your progress is a crucial part of making change last. You have shown up for yourself for 28 days straight. That alone is a powerful act of self-care and deserves to be recognized.

Your task for today is a closing ritual of reflection and gratitude. Find a quiet space where you can sit with your journal and spend a few minutes reflecting on this challenge.

First, give thanks for your growth. Look back at the journal entries from Week 1. Think about the "energy leaks" you identified, the feelings you wanted to cultivate, and the rituals you’ve started. How do you feel now compared to how you felt at the beginning of the month? Acknowledge the shifts, both big and small. Celebrate the moments you chose a sacred pause instead of a distraction. Give thanks for the resilience you’ve shown and the commitment you’ve made to yourself.

Next, write down 1-3 rituals you’ll carry forward into the next month. This isn't about maintaining every single habit from the challenge. It’s about being realistic and intentional. Choose the rituals that truly resonate with you, the ones that feel like an act of devotion rather than discipline. Maybe it's your sacred morning start, your grounding midday pause, or your evening wind-down. Select the practices that bring you the most peace, clarity, and energy. These are your new non-negotiables, the foundational practices of your sacred routine.

By performing this closing ritual, you are solidifying your new habits. You are telling yourself that this was more than just a 28-day challenge; it was the beginning of a new way of living. You are moving forward with intention, carrying only the practices that serve your highest good. This is how routines become rituals—by honoring the journey and consciously choosing what to bring with you.

Congratulations on completing the Sacred Routine Challenge. The work you’ve done this month will continue to ripple out and bring you peace and purpose for months and years to come.

Meet Sarah Sik

For so long, I was filled with anxiety.  My emotions were all over the place.

I am a military wife and mom of two boys.

Always needing to be braced for change filled me with so much stress and overwhelm.  My thoughts and feelings were running wild.  I felt like I was always fighting an uphill battle, and never gaining any traction.

Then, something magical happened and things started to change.

It was like walking into the most beautiful forest and seeing the sun shining down brightly on my face as I peeked up at the sky.

Suddenly, I started to take control and things just became clearer.

Have you ever tried to make a change in your life, only to get a week into it and say, “I’m tired, it can wait until tomorrow.”  Only tomorrow never happens!!  Then you end up feeling guilty and down in the dumps.
