Day 25: The Power of Simplifying
Welcome back to the Sacred Routine Challenge! We're deep in Week 4, and our focus is on integration and sustainability. So far, we've built new habits, celebrated our progress, and learned to stack rituals. Today, we're going to use a powerful tool that is often overlooked in personal growth: simplification.

Adding new, intentional rituals to our lives is wonderful, but sometimes the most powerful act is letting go of what no longer serves us. Holding on to unaligned habits can be a major energy leak, even if they seem insignificant. We've talked about intentional living as adding what we want, but it's equally about removing what we don't. Today, we’re going to practice this by mindfully dropping just one thing that no longer feels aligned with your goals.

Your task for today is to simplify. Think about the habits, tasks, or even mental patterns that you've been carrying that feel heavy or uninspired. Is there something on your to-do list that you dread? Is there a social media app you mindlessly scroll through that leaves you feeling drained? Is there a chore you can delegate or simplify?
Choose just one thing to release. The key is to keep it light and easy. This isn’t about a massive overhaul; it's about a small, conscious act of letting go.  I really loved reading the book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo.  It really helped me to clear out things that no longer served me.

For example, you could:
  • Drop a morning chore: Instead of making a big, complicated breakfast, choose something simple and nourishing like a bowl of oatmeal.
  • Remove a notification: Go into your phone settings and turn off notifications for an app that you find distracting.
  • Unfollow an account: Unfollow a social media account that makes you feel bad or doesn’t add value to your life.
  • Say no to one small request: Decline a request that you know will leave you feeling overcommitted and resentful.

By dropping one thing, you're not just creating more space in your schedule; you're also making room in your mind. This act of simplification is a powerful way to honor your energy and focus it on what truly matters. It reinforces the idea that your time and attention are valuable and deserve to be spent on things that bring you a sense of purpose and joy.

This practice is an essential part of creating a sustainable routine. By actively curating your life, you ensure that your routines are a reflection of your values, not just a series of obligations. The more you simplify, the more your sacred routines can flourish, feeling less like a rigid structure and more like a gentle, supportive flow.

Meet Sarah Sik

For so long, I was filled with anxiety.  My emotions were all over the place.

I am a military wife and mom of two boys.

Always needing to be braced for change filled me with so much stress and overwhelm.  My thoughts and feelings were running wild.  I felt like I was always fighting an uphill battle, and never gaining any traction.

Then, something magical happened and things started to change.

It was like walking into the most beautiful forest and seeing the sun shining down brightly on my face as I peeked up at the sky.

Suddenly, I started to take control and things just became clearer.

Have you ever tried to make a change in your life, only to get a week into it and say, “I’m tired, it can wait until tomorrow.”  Only tomorrow never happens!!  Then you end up feeling guilty and down in the dumps.

It’s time for you to step up and make some changes so you can live your most exquisite life.

Come join our chic community and learn about finding balance in the chaos.  This is the supportive group you’ve been looking for.  Best of all...It’s Free!
